I tried http://ia701205.us.archive.org/23/items/LifeAndDeathOfColonelBlimp_the/Life_and_death_ofCol_blimp.mp4,http://ia600800.us.archive.org/31/items/TheSpanishCapeMystery1935/TheSpanishCapeMystery.m4v,http://ia601200.us.archive.org/34/items/Silver_Fleet_The/Silver_Fleet_The_.mp4,& http://ia601207.us.archive.org/32/items/TheGirlFromRio/The-Girl-From-Rio-1939_1.mp4 recently. There are many others but "Detour", "The Hitch Hiker", and many others like "DOA" work. I've already watched them several times.

The "girl from rio" worked but I had seen it before when it played so I didn't watch it.

The URL is loaded and the window sits there without ever connecting, nor will it connect when I try MPEGs in the Firefox browser, except in movies which have been uploaded for a long time (bandwidth?).

This happens whether I'm in Memphis, Santa Barbara, New Orleans, and on the road, and over many types of connections - cable, DSL, and even a connection at 56Kb in Memphis worked but I didn't wait two days to download, nor even overnight.

The Nancy drew link you provided is not a valid URL. A valid URL is http://ia700307.us.archive.org/12/items/nancy_drew_reporter/nancy_drew_reporter_512kb.mp4.

I tried this one and it does work, is downloading at this moment, but I won't watch it, I have no interest in the Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew...

It's the new post that won't load. If it's a bandwidth problem then I can wait until others have finished but the problem is so unpredictable that I have stopped using your site for the most part.

I've watched all the Film Noire and BBC TV stuff worth watching using MPEGs so I'd like to fix this. I work when online and watch the MPEGs before bed. The player provided needs to be connected and I don't always have wireless. Quicktime allows me to burn a disc if I want to.

Am trying "The Silver Fleet" again but so far no download!

yeah, well I tried another computer yesterday with a newer op system and got the same result, so much for your help, but thanks anyway.

This is a bandwidth problem with IA. But it's free so I don't expect it get better. Ever since Google took over books online the funding for IA has been absent.

Your valid link is invalid. The invalid link you pointed out seems to be working just fine. Maybe you have a problem with your browser, as well as your media player.
